Illustration Friday - Broken

Hi everyone,

I was determined to do a good-spirited piece this week. When I saw the Illustration Friday topic is "Broken", I wasn't sure if I could pull it off.

Arial vs Helvetica

Many people assume these two typefaces are the same...Far from it!

Arial is little more than a shameless impostor.

Check out Mark Simonson's "The Scourge of Arial" and "How to Spot Arial".

Let's 'keep it real' everyone...Use Helvetica!

Illustration Friday - Remote

Hi everyone!

This week's Illustration Friday topic was "Remote". The first thoughts that came to me were images from the movie "Deliverance"...

Created with Adobe Illustrator (with a colour tweak in Photoshop).

Understanding Logos

Below is a link to a great document on logos and the logo development process. As a Graphic Designer, I often find myself explaining the importance of a well put-together logo to potential clients. Thanks smashLAB!

Chad Geran's Superblog!

Hi everyone - Welcome to the brand new Supergood Illustration & Design Blog!

I hope to get new work, cool links, rants or news up at least once a week. We'll see how it goes.

I chose to start a blog so I would have an informal place to post work that may not fit with that which is on my website -
www.supergood.ca. As well, I'd like to give people an opportunity to give any feedback they may have.

So, bookmark this site and check it out often!

For my first post, here are some prints I did for my fiancĂ©e’s sister's baby's room...(that's a mouthful!). Enjoy!

Chad
